My main goal in this project was to intervene in the order and hierarchy of the traditional upholstery layers, and to bring added value out of that intervention. At the beginning of its historical course, the Capitone technique was somewhat functional as it clamped the wide padding layer to the carriage walls. Today this technique functions primarily as an aesthetic finish for furniture.
