Bags made of soldered DuPont Tyvek sheets
TYBAG exists in the intersection between the limitations of the fashion industry and the benefits of DuPont Tyvek sheets.
Tyvek is a paper-like synthetic material made from pressed polyethylene fibers. Its advantages are reflected in its structural strength, and its resistance to liquids, UV rays and extreme weather conditions. In addition, it has a 100% recyclable capacity.
The idea behind these bags was born after an extensive research into the Tyvek material. The uniqueness of these bags lies in their efficient production process, durability, unique appearance, and sustainable value:
Efficient production: The simple cuts and the solder connections allow for a production line with a considerably limited number of stations, while allowing for fast-paced production.
Durability: Apart from its resistance to tearing and liquid penetration, the material's ability to bond in solder allows for the increased durability of its connections.
Unique visibility: In areas where the material is manipulated using high heat, the material appearance changes from being white and fibrous, to one that is transparent and glossy.
Sustainable value: The Tyvek sheet is recyclable, and the bag manufacturing process preserves this quality by not introducing any additional materials other than the threaded straps. At the end of the product’s useful life, the straps can be separated, and the bag can be recycled.
This collection of bags can be produced entirely in one factory, using existing and available technologies.
